Starting Sept. 16, a portion of Sligo Creek Parkway will temporarily close in Silver Spring, Maryland due to crews laying down tracks for the Purple Line. The parkway will be closed from Schuyler Road to Wayne Avenue. News4’s Joseph Olmo reports.

Several businesses saw windows or doors smashed in a series of possible break-ins overnight in Montgomery County, Maryland. A series of break-ins happened overnight in Chevy Chase, Silver Spring and Bethesda. In Bethesda, several businesses were hit including a pharmacy and gas station. Broken glass was found on the streets outside of the businesses. It hasn’t been reported if there was anything taken from the businesses. 

The Montgomery County Police Department says they found a missing teen who has autism. Fourteen-year-old Joshua Maroy was last seen on Monday on 1901 Randolph Road at John F. Kennedy High School in Silver Spring, Maryland at approximately 2:30 p.m., according to a flier released by police. Maroy was found safe and unharmed, police said Monday evening.
